PPM D1 is a pluggable processor module (PPM) for use with the CubeSat-compatible Motherboard Module (MBM). By adding a PPM D1 to an MBM, you create a CubeSat-compatible C&DH module built around a Microchip® PIC24FJ256GA110 16-bit low-power microcontroller (MCU). PPM D1 has a PIC24FJ256GA110 with 256KB internal Flash memory and 16KB internal RAM, , and enables up to 16MIPS operation via its 8MHz external crystal. PPM D1 also has an on-board, external, AT25DF641 64Mbit SPI serial Flash memory chip.
Includes a fully tested PPM D1 with a Microchip® PIC24FJ256GA110 soldered in place.
PPM D1 is part of CubeSat Kit flight hardware, and plug into a Motherboard Module (MBM). PPM D1 is used on flight hardware to run fully debugged PIC24 software and to control fully debugged hardware on your CubeSat Kit. PPM D1 is electrically identical to PSPM D; your software will run identically on PPM D1 in a flight environment, and on PSPM D in a development environment.

Prospective customers must purchase an entire CubeSat Kit first, before purchasing additional PPM D1s "a la carte."
PPM D1 is available only to customers who have already purchased a CubeSat Kit /PIC24 (PIC24FJ256GA110); proof of a prior CubeSat Kit /PIC24 purchase is required. That's because the supplemental information (e.g., schematics) and software required to use PPM D1 are only included in the purchase of a full CubeSat Kit.
