Development Board 2 (DB2)
Development Hardware | Not for Space Use
The Development Board 2 (DB2) is a simple board intended for use as a tool for developers of CubeSat modules that conform to the 104-pin CubeSat bus standard. It can be used with appropriate lab equipment (not included) to establish the power requirements of a CubeSat Kit-compatible module installed on the DB2. Similarly, it can be used as a "host" while testing CubeSat Kit-compatible modules under power as part of radiation or EMI testing.
Two interconnected 104-pin CubeSat bus connectors are provided along with appropriate M3 standoffs. Two stacks of compatible modules can be installed on the DB2.
A 10-pin header is intended for use with Total Phase(R) I2C host adapters and protocol analyzers (not included). The standard I2C bus signals, the first SPI bus signals and signal ground are provided on the header.
Four pairs of red/black banana jacks are provide with connections to the power buses on the 104-pin connectors. A fifth pair is reserved for users of Pumpkin's EPSM 1 (not included).
A mounting hole pattern is provided for mounting the Pumpkin USB Debug Adapter (not included) in a corner of the DB2.
A large exposed ground plane is provided beneath one of the two module slots.
